URAC Accreditation Training and Education
Responding to the universal need among URAC-accredited companies for training in the applicable current URAC standards, Integral Healthcare Solutions, LLC, ("IHS") offers a multidimensional program of education in URAC standards.
Education of all the organization's employees (not just the accreditation team) in URAC's standards is not just a good idea, it's required of all URAC-accredited organizations. The new version of URAC's Core standards (v. 3.0) requires that the organization "has an ongoing training program that includes . . .training in current URAC standards as appropriate to job functions." (Core 27(b)).
Documentation of training is important, too
The issue is not just the training, it is the documentation. Not only must all the employees be trained in the current, applicable URAC standards, but that training must be documented (Core 27(d)). Sometimes, keeping track of all the diverse components of an organization's URAC training is the hardest part of complying with the URAC training requirement.
The new IHS initiative provides a wide array of training options for organizations:
Online Training for All Employees
IHS offers a unique, online accreditation training, "AccrediTrain", that provides targeted training in accreditation standards for all of an organization's employees. With this new system, an organization can send all its employees through training in the specific standards that apply to their jobs (e.g., IT employees trained in the IT standards, HR trained in the HR standards, case managers trained in the CM standards). The employees can take AccrediTrain at any time that is convenient for them, and their training will be documented on a spreadsheet that the organization can then show the URAC reviewers to demonstrate compliance with the URAC training requirement.
Remote, live, customized Webinar
IHS 's URAC experts are available to organizations interested in having a live, remote briefing on URAC standards and interpretations. Using remote conferencing technology like WebEx, IHS can bring its training right into an organization's conference room, allowing for in-depth discussions about the burning questions an organization might have about how URAC standards apply to the organization's special circumstances.
Onsite training
