The Gold Standard for Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation

Put briefly, specialty pharmacies serve their specialty drug patients with an extra level of care management other pharmacies do not provide. Since it was first rolled out, URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Program has been the gold standard for such pharmacies, preferred by payers of all sorts. Nearly all major payers that require their specialty pharmacies to be accredited to have at least URAC accreditation, sometimes in combination with others.
